Book 13 begins with Zeus turning his attention away from the war, in the meantime Poseidon is  keeping a close eye. Lines 15 -16 "There he came up out of the water, and sat, and pitied the Achaians who were beaten by the Trojans, and blamed Zeus for it in bitterness." In this moment we see the sneakiness of how the gods are when they try to interfere, and we also hear their feelings towards Zeus' actions. Through out this book we see Poseidon sneak behind Zeus' back to help encourage  the Achaians. Yet back in Book 7, Poseidon points out to Zeus that the Achaians did not make proper sacrifices before building their wall. Zeus then tells Poseidon that he can destroy the wall when the war is over. My question is where did Poseidon switch his mind on siding with the Achaians instead of the Trojans?
